Outdoor Explorers - A Nature Day Camp (Ages 9-12)

Where can you hike trails and explore mountain streams, spot moose and porcupine, and go rock climbing with your friends? Explore all things that swim, fly, walk, or crawl outdoors and let your love of nature run wild at Catamount Institute’s Outdoor Explorers Camp.

Wilderness Leaders – A Wild & Green Career Camp (Ages 11-13)

June 21 – 25

July 5-9

When you have lost the trail and a storm is rolling in, do you have what it takes to survive in the wilderness?  Track big horn sheep with field biologists and rock climb with adventure guide professionals.  Experience team-building initiatives and survival skills in the wilderness before camping-out at Catamount’s mountain campus.

Backpack Beyond – A Teen Backpacking Trek (Ages 13-16)

July 19-23

Shoulder your backpack and join Catamount’s seasoned adventure guides on a 4 day backpacking trip in the high country.  Explore high altitude lakes & ghost-town mining camps before topping off your trek by climbing one of the Collegiate Peaks. Then relax your muscles soaking in a hot spring rock pool at Mt. Princeton.  Perfect for first-timers interested in building backcountry skills like first aid, orienteering and Leave No Trace skills. Campers should be able to carry 40% of their body weight in gear for up to 7 miles daily.

A science and standards-based after-school program for 4th and 5th grade students.

A site based field-trip for students to participate in water ecology experiments that promote an understanding of water conservation and aquatics science.
